Materials Exchange Resources

If you are serious about recycling and want to help others at the same time, visit Next Step Recycling’s website to learn how you can donate your unwanted, unused computers, business equipment, electronics and more. This is Lane County's only electronics and computer refurbisher and recycler.

Art Supplies: Your old bottle caps can become jewelry. The leftover fabric scraps might become scarves. An “ugly” tube of paint might provide the perfect color in someone else’s watercolor. Instead of throwing out potential artist materials, contact MECCA in Eugene--- and exchange them. Check out their workshops too.

The odd/the leftover/the non-recyclable: BRING’s Materials Exchange (BMEX) provides free want ads for business and individuals who find themselves with, or in need of, reusable and non-recyclable materials.

With a membership of over 2000, Eugene Free Recycle provides e-mail posting opportunities to members who have free items available for trade borrow or barter. Advice: Don’t include personal or intended use info in your post, as doing so in the past has caused controversy among the group.

IMEX is a northwest Industrial Materials Exchange that provides classified advertisements for business industrial waste, matching up waste generators with waste users.
